As many of you will already know, we’ve been roasting coffee for almost five years now and we’ve learned an awful lot in that time. From pretty early on, we realised that getting better is really hard when focussing on roasting in isolation. Collaborating with people that were more focused on the brewing and service aspects of the business allowed us to develop feedback loops that really accelerated learning and helped us to develop our quality standards and controls.

In the past we have worked events where we have served our own coffee (like Glasgow Coffee Festival and Cup North for example). We’ve spent time installing equipment and infrastructure into other people’s coffee shops and we’ve developed innovative solutions for all sorts of challenging scenarios. So now it's time to push things forward and explore some new territory..........

We’ve finally managed to get our hands on our very first cafe premises! Well, it’s not a cafe right now, but it will be. This is where we bring it all together, amazing coffee, tasty food, great service and hopefully a positive contribution to the local community in a tonne of different ways.

The main reason that we are telling you this now is that we are planning on sharing as much of our journey with you as we can. We'll be asking for advice, ideas, suppliers, or looking for people to help us to make our plans a reality in all kinds of different ways. We’re hoping you’ll share your thoughts and suggestions with us along the way. Big issues will probably get dedicated blog posts on our website, like discussions around the menu for example. Other day to day stuff will happen on social media. So, if you don't already, please follow us on Twitter, Instagram, FaceBook etc.

It’s going to be a completely wild couple of months for us but we’re super excited about the future.

This sounds amazing, guys. It will be a nice addition to the Sheffield coffee scene. A really exciting venture. All the best.
