'Be prepared for big flavour. Juicy blueberries and a lime acidity dominate, and then a hint of grapefruit provides an edge. The whole experience s smoothed out by milk chocolate. Just delicious.'

Here we go again! - this is the coffee that we are best know for and it'll almost certainly be another best-seller. Rocko Mountain has that amazing flavour profile we only really see in natural processed coffee grown in the Yirgacheffe region.

This time, the Chelbesa washing station really delivers. It doesn't matter how you brew your coffee, if fruity bangers are your thing, then look no further. The team here are loving this coffee as espresso, where it is bright and fruity. As filter coffee too, where the slightly bitter finish is  both bracing and addictive, perfectly complimenting the wild acidity and big fruit notes. Well rounded, elegant and complex coffee. Enjoy.

Located in the Gedeo zone of the Gedeb district, Chelbesa is one of the finest coffee producing areas within the famous Gedeb Woreda. Known for its dense layered semi-forest vegetation structure encompassing false banana trees as well as shade-grown coffee trees, Chelbesa is a great example of best coffee growing agro-ecology.

SNAP Specialty Coffee built their new wet mill in 2019 in a small hamlet called Danche within the Chelbesa Village with the hope of reaching out to purchasing exclusively red cherries from the nearby farmers in Chelbesa Village. Their ambition became a reality after completion of the project.

The fermentation tanks of the wet mill were built using ceramic which will help bring clarity in the coffee that they process as well as help speed up the fermentation through the heat retained by the ceramic.

This lot has been put together with the production of 495 smallholders farmers delivering their cherries to the mill, in the area the most common type of soil is redbrown, a particularly fertile type, rich in iron and with high acidity content.

Remember! - Shipping is FREE on orders which contain more than 1kg of coffee. You can mix and match varieties and bag sizes however you please. Single 250g bags go by Royal Mail 24 Large Letter Post and cost £2.95. To see all shipping options, click here.

The only drink to start the day, so full of flavour, smooth, beautiful caramelised finish. It gets our day started on the right footing. A world class coffee from a world class roaster. We simply love it!

Thanks so much for that Martyn. Reviews like yours just make our day. ❤️

As delicious as ever

This is my longstanding favourite coffee. It changes over time, but the funky floral aroma always comes back to remind me how great this is. It's adventurous for sure, and well worth it.

Thanks a lot for the review Paul. We're about the get the pre-shipment sample for the new crop too, which is really exciting. Stay tuned!!
