Brand new for 2017 and shipping from January, we are super excited to announce the launch of the Londinium L-R. Although identical to the legendary (and now discontinued) L1 from the outside, there have been some big changes on the inside.
The Londinium R has a cold water reservoir of 3 litres and uses a brand new rotary pump to draw this water into the boiler and the all new heat exchanger. Pre-infusion pressure is governed by a pressure switch which is set at the factory to 3 bar, but you can adjust the pressure up or down if you desire.
Ideal for the home enthusiast in pursuit of espresso excellence, we believe that the Londinium L1 espresso machine is exceptional value for money. Thoughtfully designed and built here in the UK to a very high standard, this machine is just beautiful.
This machine is plug and play; no drilling, no plumbing, no drains and all with the quietly spoken sophistication of a rotary pump. Get it out of the box and plug it in. Fill the water tank with water, turn it on, and you're good to go.
Lever machines extract your coffee in a very consistent way, using a declining pressure and temperature profile, resulting in phenomenal tasting espresso. There's no complicated electronics at work here, the whole process is driven by a large spring.
The machine is ready to pull shots within 15 minutes from switching it on and it's designed to be left on all day. Unlike a pump machine there is no three-way solenoid, which means no backflushing, so cleaning and maintenance is much simpler. In fact, these machines are refreshingly simple and as such there is very little that can go wrong. The steaming is also world class and you can steam your milk while your shot is pouring if you wish. When paired with a Compak E8 or E10, you'll be making incredible coffee in no time.
The little touches really enhance the whole experience, whether its the beautiful hand-turned wenge handles or the simple LED indicator lamps, its all about quality and simplicity. These machines also ship with a 100g tube of Loxeal No.4 silicone grease.
All Londinium machines come with a 12 month warranty and should you need any parts or accessories, we can supply them from here in the UK within a few days.
