When I drink this coffee, I'm reminded of milk chocolate, nuts and just the slightest hint of red fruit.
This is the epitome of what we call 'comfort' coffee. This is easy-drinking, easy to brew and utterly delicious. Solid, clean and sweet. Simple but satisfying. It's that coffee that you can drink all day long.
In espresso, the acidity is gentle, and you'll love the lingering, creamy finish. It is supremely well balanced coffee. Add milk and it's a perfectly pleasing comforting delight. Everyone needs some coffee like this in their cupboard, especially those with bean to cup machines - it's a total crowd pleaser.

Taste and flavour perception are complex and difficult to articulate. We love sharing our tasting notes with you, but please don't rely too heavily on our reports. Your experience is what matters most and it may be different. We've written about that whole issue here.

Notes from the importer, Coffinet
Planadas municipality is located in the Tolima department. Its weather conditions make it an ideal area to grow high-quality coffee. 95% of coffees are grown in low temperatures which produces a higher sugar concentration during the ripening process, resulting in a sweeter and more complex cup profile.
Most of the population are ex-combatants from armed groups. What is remarkable is that after the peace agreement was signed, they started to work with coffee with some associations. Both ASOPEP and ASCISP are a great example of such associations. ASOPEP works with 167 farmers and ASCISP is formed by 66 coffee families.
ASOPEP has supported and assisted their coffee farmers' community to work towards quality incentivizing them to use organic practices. As result, our producers have managed to certify their coffee as organic thanks to the ASOPEP 's support.
Really enjoyed this roast, and not had many from Colombia that I can say that about to be honest. Subtle flavours but great as espresso and with milk. Definitely recommend
Thanks for leaving a review Philip - glad to hear you're enjoying the beans!!
