SCA Brewing Course (Foundation Level)


Beginning a deep dive into brewing.

The perfect start for a curious home brewer or coffee professional wanting to investigate the science behind coffee brewing. 

During the foundation course you will delve into how to produce a tasty brew based on developing an understanding of the essential brewing elements and an analysis of how they affect results in the cup.

  • The coffee origins
  • Sensory impact of species & process
  • Freshness of coffee
  • Examination of 6 brewing methods
  • The coffee grinder and its importance
  • Introduction to 7 Essential Elements of Brewing
  • Brewing analysis
  • Maintenance
