SCA Brewing Course (Intermediate Level)


Getting deeper into coffee brewing.

The Brewing Intermediate builds on the concepts and skills introduced in the foundation level. 

It’s ideal for someone who has some brewing experience and wants to improve coffee quality and seek the best way to deliver an outstanding cup of coffee.

Course Content: 

  • The science of coffee brewing - history
  • Roast levels and the impact on freshness and flavour
  • Grinder types
  • The 7 Essential Elements of Brewing & their individual influence on the final cup 
  • Brewing process & brewing devices
  • Brewing Control Charts and their use in practice
  • Maintenance of equipment.

Please note that this course contains 14 hours of teaching, delivered over two consecutive days and each cohort is up to four participants. Our course fee includes the SCA certification fees.
