SCA Introduction to Coffee Course


A great place to start!

The SCA Introduction to Coffee course is designed to inspire you to explore other SCA modules. It’s perfect for anyone who is new to the coffee industry or a passionate hobbyist!

We cover a wide range of aspect, including coffee processing, roasting, brewing and tasting - this course gives you a great overview of coffee’s journey from bean to cup.

Course Content:

  • Coffee journey
  • Coffee origins & growing regions
  • Common coffee species & their differences
  • Coffee industry
  • What is Speciality Coffee?
  • Basics of roasting & coffee freshness
  • What influences coffee flavour?
  • Introduction to brewing & the importance of water
  • Cleaning & maintenance of equipment.

This course last for four hours and can be made up of up to four participants. This course fee does not include a certificate from the SCA. If you would like to receive a certificate, please let us know when you book the course and we can arrange that for you at an additional cost of £30.
