We try really hard to get the balance right with our packaging. It needs to be strong enough to survive the UK Postal system and it also needs other protect your precious beans in various ways. Wherever we can, we use sustainable materials that are easily recyclable.
Below is a breakdown of all the materials we currently use and how you can dispose of them responsibly.

Our retail boxes are made from 85% recycled card.
We have not yet found a supplier that can make our box sleeves for us from recycled materials, but we'll keep trying. The sleeves also have a small paper sticker attached.
You can recycle our boxes and sleeves like you would any paper or cardboard - just pop them in your card recycling bin.

Our bags are made using 70% PCR (post-consumer recycled) plastic and you can recycle them in the LDPE (4) stream, like you would plastic bags.
We kept the printing to a minimum and designed the bags ourselves to use significantly less raw material than traditional coffee bags.
If you don't have a kerbside service in your area, you can recycle them at many larger supermarkets.

IMPORTANT: Typically, adhesives used to seal plastic bags like these can prevent them being recycled in many facilities. We have therefore opted to use a paper sticker to seal the bags instead.
Please remove this sticker, and the postal label, and dispose of those in your general waste before recycling the rest of the bag.
