We’ve bought Rocko Mountain almost every year for over a decade now. This year, it’s much like it always is, and that’s a very good thing. We’re talking absolutely classic, natural processed, fruit forward, wild Ethiopian coffee.
In the cup, you’ll find big strawberry notes, clean peach sweetness and that characteristic earl grey tea note. It’s a super versatile coffee too. Tea-like filter coffee, sure - but you could also brew a bit stronger for pleasing big body and syrupy, silky mouthfeel.
In espresso, it’s surprisingly well-behaved. The acidity is tangy like limes, but it doesn’t dominate and you’ll still be getting bags of strawberry and peach - maybe just a hint of craft chocolate too. Add milk and you’re in hot strawberry milkshake territory.
