“This is fascinating coffee. These ‘Kenyan’ varietals are treated to an anaerobic natural processing approach and the result is a distinctive, intriguing lot.”
This coffee has been a real surprise. We’ve bought Ugandan coffee before, but this lot shows real processing skill and an exciting, innovative approach.
In the cup, you can expect a dark and brooding affair. We get reminded of rich chocolate cake, or maybe black forest gateau - that’ll be those classic SL28 blackcurrant vibes of course.
The luxurious, decadent feel continues with cherry, and red wine notes, along with a hint of nutmeg in the finish that adds a lovely touch of bitterness. So good.
This coffee is a real all-rounder and easy to brew whatever method you like to use. We’ve been loving this coffee as the base for a truly decadent flat white.
One last thing. If you're usually into our 'comfort' coffee - this coffee is a great gateway into our 'adventure' range. Give it a try and you'll see what I mean!
