This is our first ever '90' scoring coffee, and boy is it delicious!! Yep, there is fruit, deep and sticky, like black cherries. There are huge chocolate notes though and a silky smooth butterscotch-like finish too.
Here we have an incredibly well balanced, super sweet, smooth coffee. It's fabulous in any brew method but really shines as filter coffee, where the complexity is highlighted by the light/medium roast profile.
As espresso, there is a delightful bright, sherbert-like acidity, which gets somewhat muted when adding milk - at which point the chocolatey, toffee notes really dominate. Just delicious, and highly recommended as a well-deserved treat for yourself.

Taste and flavour perception are complex and difficult to articulate. We love sharing our tasting notes with you, but please don't rely too heavily on our reports. Your experience is what matters most and it may be different. We've written about that whole issue here.

This coffee was grown by Sebastian Gomez at the farm La Divisa. This coffee is harvested following strict ripeness criteria, floated and hand-sorted to remove any defects.
Cherries were then exposed to 30 hours of underwater fermentation before being pulped. The parchment was then gently washed and then dried in temperature controlled conditions until ideal moisture content was achieved.
This micro-lot is 100% Pink Bourbon. This varietal is currently under research in order to determine its origin. It is said that it is a mutation that took place at 2100 m.a.s.lin San Adolfo. Huila
My girlfriend hates my filter coffee but she liked it when I used these beans. I love the sweet flavour they have
that's great - happy that you both enjoyed the coffee! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.
Wonderful coffee for espresso. It is a bit tricky to dial in but once you there, it is absolutely bonkers. Beautifully sweet. It was difficult to pin down what it reminds me but sometimes you just enjoy a coffee and don’t think of taste notes. This coffee is certainly that. Easy drinker, rewarding and makes you want to have more. Oh give a go to this with a v60 and aeropress. Works wonders with those too.
So good to hear - yeah, completely agree. Something indescribable about this coffee and it really does have hidden depths. It rewards experimentation for sure. Thanks a lot for taking the time to leave a review - we really, really appreciate it!!
Standard coffee that appeals to most. Sits in the middle - neither fruity, nor chocolatey. Will be ordering the Rocko Mountain again as that’s the fruitiest cup I’ve ever had.
It's a shame that you weren't blown away by this coffee Kieran. Oh, and if you think the current Rocko is fruity, we just tasted pre-shipment samples of next years crop, and that one is on another level!
My biggest mistake was only buying the 250g bag. It was probably my 2nd to last shot when I got to taste the brilliance for this coffee. I think the description hit the nail on the head sweet, smooth and balanced.
I tend to drink mainly espresso based drinks got good results with an 18g shot with 42g out in around 28 seconds.
Need to get a larger bag next time to judge properly.
Thanks a lot for taking the time to leave a review Yas, much appreciated.
It's not easy to commit to larger quantities of more expensive coffee, so I completely see your dilemma. Great to hear you enjoyed the beans anyhow.
