Cafetiere Brew Guide

Simple, tasty coffee.

Water: 98 Celsius degrees

Comandante C40: 26 clicks medium-coarse grind.

Method:

  1. Our recommendation is 73g of coffee per 1L of water.
  2. Prepare the right amount of coffee and grind it.
  3. After your water has boiled, wait about a minute for it to cool down. Place your cafetière on the scale, tare it to zero, and add ground coffee, zero it again.
  4. Set the timer and add your water as quickly as possible and leave it to steep for about 2 minutes.
  5. During this time you will notice that coffee formed a crust like layer on the top. At 2 minutes break the crust and stir your coffee with a tablespoon for about 10 seconds. This action will cause most of the coffee to fall to the bottom of the pot.
  6. With the help of a tablespoon, clean the remaining foam from the top and discard it.
  7. At 3 minutes place the plunger in the top of the brewing vessel and plunge it. Wait another 2 minutes, this will allow coffee to settle down to the bottom, so you can enjoy a nice, well textured brew.
